"It is impossible to escape the impression that people commonly use false standards of measurement -- that they seek power, success and wealth for themselves and admire them in others, and that they underestimate what is of true value in life."
          --Sigmund Freud, 1930
"Civilization and Its Discontents" Chapter 1

Everything you experience is an electro-chemical reaction in the brain. Your passion, your love, your hope -- how you understand yourself and why you interpret your life as you do -- everything you feel is determined by the brain. It is the organ of the body to receive more nutrition than any other -- the only one that cannot be replaced or substituted. But when you get an impulse of happiness, sadness, excitement, or fear, it is just a bit of electricity and chemicals. While the brain may have a size of 350 to 400 grams, the chemicals that effect it must only be between 0.01 grams and 0.00001 grams. Just the weight of a single strand of hair can determine whether you have reached harmony with the universe around you -- or whether you're falling through a miserable hell.

Such a small amount of chemicals and electricity decide your feelings, your memories, and your dreams. But are we limited to whatever chemicals the brain produces? It's not often repeated that GHB [*1] and DMT [*2]. One is used as a sedative intoxicant and the other as a hallucinogenic psychedelic, and the other is regarded as an amphetamine. The ability to change the mind's electro-chemical processes is extremely powerful. It can be used to help people just as much as it can be used to hurt people.

The majority of drugs that can effect the human brain are not naturally produced in the body. They are available to effect the mind by ingesting them: eating, smoking, snorting, or injecting. However, drugs are illegal... well, not entirely. The greatest cocaine dealer in American history was US President Ronald Reagan He brought in cocaine to sell to Americans so that he could buy weapons for terrorists in Iran. [*3] Conservative writers and speakers, like Rush Limbaugh, [*4] go around "doctor-shopping," in an effort to get a physician to prescribe them otherwise-illegal drugs. Doctors are even capable of prescribing methamphetamine to patients for "weight loss," [*5] even though it is one of the most physically destructive drugs.

"I know this is not a very popular idea. You don't hear it too often any more ... but it's the truth. I have taken drugs before and... I had a real good time. Sorry. Didn't murder anybody, didn't rape anybody, didn't rob anybody, didn't beat anybody, didn't lose -- hm -- one fucking job, laughed my ass off, and went about my day. Sorry. Now, where's my commercial? Why don't I get a commercial? Why is it always that other guy that gets the commercial? 'I lost my job, then my car, then my house, then my kids. Don't do drugs.' Well, I'm definitely not doing them with you!"
          --Bill Hicks, 1990
          "Relentless" Album

Drugs are not illegal in the US and never have been. US Presidents, and plenty of wealthy Capitalists, have always used drugs. When people say "drugs are illegal," they mean specifically that we, the common people, are second-class citizens, and only for us are drugs illegal. Equal Protection Before the Law, the 14th amendment of the U.S. Constitution, and it is a miserable and painful lie. Those of us who are self-thinking will be agitated and offended by this contradiction. "Separate but equal has never been equal," was the ruling of the US Supreme Court reviewing the constitutionality of segregation in 1954. [*6] But the US Supreme Court, when given the case of a Native American seeking the right to use psychedelic drugs as part of their religion, they rejected the concept of equality before the law. [*7] The government is the finest example of ignorance and contradiction.

If you believe in equality before the law, then the legal use of drugs by the wealthy and politicians should mean that it is legal for you, too! To control your mind, lift you up, and expose you to new emotions -- this is within your grasp. It's not an excuse to use drugs "just because." Understand the substance, read upon the risks, and experiment with variety. Amphetamines are wildly different from anti-anxiety medication. Hallucinogens are a complete opposite of alcohol. Opiates have no relationship with Tobacco.

Be a self-thinking individual. Your body is your own, and you'll never have another. All the experiences you could have are going to be as limited as you let them be. And when an experience is determined by a chemical release in your mind, abstaining from will limit all the passions that you might feel in this life. Drugs, by themselves, will not give you everything you need. You must be aware of what you're putting in your body and the possible health risks. Drugs, with understanding, are the perfect complement to the real self-thinking individual.

"Honduran DC-6 which is being used for [U.S.-funded, terrorist-weapons] runs out of New Orleans is probably being used for [massive, cocaine] drug runs into U.S."
